We all know that Toyota and a few other leading automobile manufacturers are pushing their limits with the introduction of hybrids and other electric vehicles for the consumer market. It also seems that Toyota Industries Corp has made plans to develop their solar charging stations, specifically for their Prius models.
Of course, Toyota has announced that they do have a prototype down at the Toyota City in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. And the company also announced their intention that they will built another 21 stations across 11 locales in the country, probably near government offices as well as train depots.
Well Toyota has unofficially mentioned that these solar charging stations will be available as soon as April 2010.
Do you think that the Toyota solar charging stations will get out of the Toyota’s drawing board?
