Guess what – Samsung is one of the largest microchip manufacturers in the world! Yes, although mainstream manufacturers like Intel and AMD stole the limelight for decades when it comes to microprocessors, there are other smaller microprocessor manufacturers out there – namely Samsung. And just recently, Samsung disclosed some juicy news about their upcoming microprocessor, which refers to the much touted Cortex-line of microchips.
Samsung mentioned that the next-gen Exynos 5250 SoC would double of everything, whereby it will come with two cores, while running at 2GHz each, and the onboard GPU can also display higher screen resolution too, which supports up to 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution (WQXGA). Samsung also pledge to mass produce the next-gen 5250 chips soon and these chips will soon find its way to high-end tablets by Q2 next year.
