Do you know that LightSquared will be rolling out their spanking new 4G LTE network in the United States pretty soon? However, it seems that the company has encountered numerous challenges in rolling out their system, and one of the latest challenges involves the interference with GPS receivers. Apparently, a portion of the 10MHz blocks that is used by the network has some form of interferences with GPS receivers, but according to LightSquared, the company has just recently announced a 2-fold solution to the respective problem.
LightSquared added that the problem only affects the lower block of the 10MHz spectrum, and the company is working together with Inmarsat with the bid to use an alternative block of the spectrum. Surely, we’ll be hoping to see LightSquared 4G LTE network out pretty soon.
