With so many mobile computing solutions available in the market, it’s pretty hard to differentiate these computers from one another. Take the smartbook for example – I’m sure not many consumers know what a smartbook is – a crossbreed between notebook and netbooks perhaps?
Nevertheless, the Efika MX Smartbook can be considered as one of the very first smartbooks in the market, whereby this particular computer is powered by a sluggish 800MHz i.MX515 processor, and comes with 16GB of NAND Flash memory as its storage. Also, you can further expand the data storage capacity through the MMC / SD card slot. The smartbook is equipped with 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a pair of USB 2.0 ports. The 10.1 inch display panel has 1,024x600 resolution, and there’s even an embedded 1.3 megapixel camera on top of the display. Reviewers claim that the smartbook has enough power to play full HD video – but personally I doubt it as clearly, the processor is not powerful enough to process HD data smoothly.
Generally, the Efika MX Smartbook will be priced at $349, which I think is too expensive for a netbook configuration. Take a closer look at the Efika MX Smartbook:
