We all know that Obama just committed a whopping 30,000 additional troops to the Afghanistan battlefield, with the bid to ‘win’ the war swiftly, so that the American troops can be pulled back from the god-forsaken country by the end of 2011. On the other hand, Defense Secretary Robert Gates has issued a statement to the soldiers who are still in Iraq, by saying that the war in the country remains critical and crucial.

Nevertheless, it also seems that the government plans to reduce the overall troops which are deployed in Iraq, starting next year. Well personally, I think that the war in Iraq is a huge mistake, and that the government will need to spend an additional 10 years, just to make sure that the country stabilizes and has the necessary capabilities to govern the country, without any security issues.

So what are your thoughts on the war in Iraq?
